Months ago, back in about December, myself, Rex, Ensign and others started pointing out that Enchantment Removal is garbage since thats around the time they nerfed it. We werent believed by many.
Back in November
Rex's post on TGH
January BWE comes around, and as predicted enchantment heavy builds start to come around. They arent ridiculous stackfests yet, but the potential is seen.
February BWE is the first time I think Enchantment Stacking gets fully blown out of proportion with certain builds. Around this time I was an alpha, and I pointed out how ER was broken, many members from alpha guilds and even devs told me I was wrong and I had no clue what I was talking about.
Over the next few months KOR destroyed everyone in a BWE with a 4 Warrior/4 monk build that some people will tell you wasn't an enchantment based build.
During retail iQ creates a modern healing ball tactic that just abuses everything thrown at it in HoH, and the build is soon copied and varied all throughout the community. Even after holding the hall for hours countless times "some" alpha players, guilds, and even GW devs basically tell me to stfu and prove it after all the data, numbers, and in-game proof of them losing to it-including the devs. Threads like this are kind of funny to look back on.
So now after all this time, it has become common knowledge that ER is shit, and the devs said they wanted it to be used strategically when the options for some of the ones to be used that way dont exist.
This weekend there are supposed to be some balance changes going in, and besides the inevitable Natures Renewal nerf I'm expecting some ER buffs. I've got a budding feeling that stubborness and refusal to admit that their wrong will turn me into a flower :/

God knows why they hit enchantment removal so hard back in december. They turned it from ridiculously good into ridiculously bad.

Really? There was doubt? It wasn't obvious that costly spells that take forever to recharge cannot possibly compete with cheap, spammable enchantments?
...wow

im not sure about any buffs. i love qz. best ritual ever. if er is buffed, im gonna laugh so hard itll stop being funny. 1st buff: rend to 15s cooldown. and shattere to 15s as well. tbh, i dont really think its needed under qz. and that will remain the problem. if you buff them, by (the obvious choice) modding recharge times, you dramatically increase people using stuff like qz, meaning while most people not using it are good, the few that are whip all kinds of enchantment ass. a 15s rend is reasonable. a 7s rend is not.

Being right and getting right are two completely different things Blackace.

Stuff like this happens everywhere. It sucks, but very hard to change.
